Audio function questions

Q. Can I record my meetings?
A. Yes. Dial *17* then follow the prompts to record an audio conference.

Q. Can participants dial into a local number to access the meeting, regardless of their location?
A. Participants can dial a local number. If they are overseas, Genesys provide International Toll Free numbers. Please contact us for further information.

Q. How do I dial-out to an international party?
A. You can dial-out to an international participant by dialling * 00 + country code + area code + telephone number*

Q. How many people can participate in a conference call?
A. Each account can handle up to 100 participants.

Q. Do I need to make a reservation?
A. No, you can use your Genesys Meeting Center number at anytime 24 x 7. There is no need to make a reservation once your subscription is activated.

Q. What happens if I don't press *9* to disconnect the call?
A. Most of the time this will not be a problem. However, on occasion lines don't fully disconnect and remain active on the conference call after everyone else has disconnected. For security reasons however, it is recommended that the Moderator always press *9* before disconnecting.

Q. Can the participants talk to each other before the Moderator dials in for the conference?
A. Anyone who dials in before the moderator will be placed in a "waiting room" listening to music until the moderator opens access to the room. The participants will not be able to hear each other or know if anyone else is waiting as well.

Q. If the Moderator of the conference disconnects will that automatically disconnect everyone else?
A. No, it will not. If the moderator does not press *9* before disconnecting, then anyone who stays on the line will be able to continue with the conference call.

Troubleshooting questions

Q. I am the host and entered my PIN code but I am still listening to music.
A. Be sure to press the * key firmly, before and after the PIN code. (for example, *1234*). If you still cannot enter the room, contact your local Genesys customer support representative for further assistance.

Q. There is noise, music, or echo in my conference. Who can help me with that?
A. Noise in the conference can come from a variety of sources. Mobile phones and speakerphones are a common culprit. Another common source of the problem could be a bad line connection from one of the callers. As the host you might want to ask your participants to pick up the receiver if they are on a speaker phone, dial in on a land line if they are on a mobile phone or have the participant hang up and dial back in again. If the noise began right after a particular participant entered the conference room, you can press *2* to disconnect that last incoming line. Individual participants with noise on their line can activate self mute, by dialling * 6 * .
You may also contact customer support for further assistance in isolating the offending line by
dialling *10*
